I am a super cool chick from Orange County, California who has been transplanted to New York City in 1998 and then on to Dallas in the Summer of 2010. The first thing I lost was my blond hair. These are basically my ruminations on everything from religion to what I had for breakfast this morning. And I promise, you'll rarely leave my blog without a smile plastered on your face. Yeah, I'm that good. Peace.

Am I a Stern Girl?
This morning, for the first time ever, someone asked me if I was on my way to Stern on the train. She needed directions I presume. I was wearing the same exact thing I've worn pretty much everyday for 10 years. Denim skirt, polo shirt, and zip sweater. What could possibly have been different today that made her query me and not the girl next to me also wearing a skirt and long sleeves? Must be the engagement ring....

If you plan on covering your hair with, what I endearingly, call a "shmata", after you get married prepare for it to get worse. People who approach me on the street think I know where every kosher restaurant is located now, like the shmata comes equipped with GPS. Plus, random homeless dudes wish me good shabbat -- on Tuesdays -- when they see me now.
